How we are reviewing 2024 and refocusing for 2025

We would love for you to look back with us over 2024 and what we have planned for 2025.

Year in Review 2024

What worked: What worked in the last year?

  • Over 2,300 Newsletter Subscribers: Over 2,300 people subscribe to our monthly newsletter, where we share stories, a new free printable each month, and gospel-centered resources, helping to keep our community informed and engaged.
  • Social Media Engagement: Shared over 700 quotes on Facebook and Instagram, providing daily inspiration and valuable insights to our followers.
  • Leader Guide Creation: We prioritized the creation of a new Leader Guide for the Foundations Workbook, testing it with groups over the summer. The guide is filled with valuable resources to equip leaders in facilitating discipleship.
  • Collaboration with Creative Team and Church Liaisons: We loved collaborating with our Creative Team and Church Liaisons, and we are incredibly thankful for their ongoing support and contributions to the project!
  • Partnerships with Churches and Ministries: Partnered with several churches, a Christian high school, college ministries, and YoungLife ministry to use the Foundations Workbook for discipleship.
  • Student Volunteers: We received valuable help from various high school and college students volunteering with the project this year.
  • Social Media Growth: We made great strides in learning more about social media, engaging through stories, and creating reels. Anne Marie created a personal account to share behind the scenes content. We enjoyed connecting in new and fun ways!
  • Community Engagement: Anne Marie connected with several local ministries and leaders, helping them capture a vision for The Loved Bible Project. She also spoke at several kick-off events, further sharing the story of how the project is transforming lives and encouraging discipleship.
  • Conference Presentation: Pastor Scott had the opportunity to present The Loved Bible Project at a conference attended by over 200 pastors and ministry leaders, increasing the project’s visibility.
  • Content Creation: 10 blogs were published, covering topics like:

What did not work: What didn’t work in the last year? Challenges?

  • Need for a Shorter Foundations Workbook: Feedback revealed a need for a more concise version of the Foundations Workbook, focusing solely on the Bible, Jesus, and the Gospel. This would better serve unbelievers and those new to the faith.
  • Managing Facebook Groups: Our private groups, Share the Love and Disciple Makers, struggled with low engagement, and without a community manager, consistent interaction was challenging. Since the community shared that the primary value was our sharing of resources or sale alerts, this can be streamlined by focusing on our public pages instead.
  • Social Media: While much of our discipleship work happens locally, we value sharing insights and experiences in disciple-making across social platforms. However, keeping up with the demands of social media—especially engaging formats like reels and live videos—has been a challenge.
  • Workbook Reformatting: We continue to assess the Foundations Workbook to improve its usability. Another reformatting is underway to make it more user-friendly and accessible!
  • YouTube Channel Launch: We attempted to create a YouTube channel and began recording and editing content. However, the process was too time-consuming, and coordinating availability and scheduling proved challenging.

What we learned: What did we learn?

  • Workshop Success: Pastor Scott presented The Loved Bible Project in a workshop setting, which proved to be an effective format for introducing church leaders to the project and its mission.
  • Equipping Individuals: We identified a growing need to focus on equipping individuals as disciples and disciple-makers, reinforcing the importance of accessible resources and practical tools.
  • Value of Free Resources: We recognized the significant need and value in providing free, accessible resources to churches. These materials serve as a crucial starting point for discipleship and equipping individuals for disciple-making.
  • Effectiveness in Making Disciples: The Loved Bible Project is making an impact! We continue to see how the project and the Foundations Workbook are being used in diverse contexts to make disciples and build a strong foundation of what it means to be a Christian.

Refocusing for 2025

  • Pastor Information Packet: We plan to create a Pastor Information Packet to be distributed by potential church liaisons to bring The Loved Bible Project to their churches. (This is still in progress.)
  • Focus for 2025: Our focus for 2025 will center on the five pillars of The Loved Bible Project:
    • Discipleship
    • Biblical Literacy
    • Enjoying Jesus
    • Gospel Fluency
    • Loving People/Life on Mission
  • How to Make Disciples Guide: We plan to release a free guide on How to Make Disciples, providing practical steps and insights to equip individuals in their disciple-making journey.

We would love to hear if there’s anything you would like to see in 2025 as you use The Loved Bible Project to make disciples!
