Baby’s First Library: Book Ideas

It’s hard to believe, but Heather and I—between our two families having ten children—have reached a new season of life. We’re no longer just celebrating the arrival of our friends’ babies; we’re now the more seasoned moms, hosting and attending more baby showers than ever before!

One of our favorite parts of these celebrations is helping families begin their baby’s very first Loved Bible. We also love showing up to baby showers with arms full of books. In this post, we’re sharing our top picks for building a child’s first theological library—books that can grow with your child and help lay a foundation for lifelong discipleship. Heather serves as the Children’s Director at her church and regularly shares many of these resources with families. These are titles we truly love and return to again and again. As Heather always told her first grade students, “Good books are meant to be read again and again!”
