As Christmas approaches, many of us look for ways to make the season meaningful and memorable, especially for our families. This year, we’re excited to share a simple, joyful tradition that encourages families to spend time together and help you to focus on Jesus during the Christmas season!

Introducing our 24 Days of Joyful Reading Advent Book Countdown! With colorful, numbered tags, you can wrap 24 books and unwrap one each day from December 1st through Christmas Eve. It’s a beautiful way to anticipate the coming of Jesus while fostering a love for reading together.

How It Works

1. Gather 24 Christmas Books: We’ve included a suggested list below of books to start your collection. If you’re just starting, check your library, borrow books from friends, or start including these books on your Christmas list! Do not feel pressure to buy all of these books at once. You could purchase one or two a year and keep adding to your library as your child/grandchildren continue to grow.
2. Wrap Each Book: Use simple wrapping paper or even holiday-themed tissue paper. It doesn’t need to be fancy!
3. Attach Your Advent Tags: Our free printable Advent tags, numbered 1 to 24, are designed to add a bright pop of color. Simply attach a tag to each book as you wrap. You can download and print them. We created two different sizes for you! Download small tags here and large tags here.
4. Begin the Countdown! Starting December 1st, let your kids pick and unwrap the day’s book. Spend a few moments reading together by the tree, with hot chocolate, or wherever your family likes to gather.
